Traditionally a top-shelf, luxury golf trip to raise fund for patients and survivors of head and neck cancer, the Kansas City Invitational was challenged to bring the excellence and experience of Santa Fe to the Midwest.
With more access to constituents who would not traditionally travel for an event, RO+Co crafted a luxury experience with simple, but compelling messaging, robust entertainment and an elevated culinary experience in this two-day golf tournament. The top-shelf local experience has guests and golfers counting down to Santa Fe in 2022… yes, even those who had not considered the trip before!
In its sixth year, Savor the Flavors was poised to become a signature event for the Don Bosco Centers. In the midst fo the COVID-19 pandemic, a chef’s competition in a hotel ballroom needed to adapt. RO+Co brought the event to City Market, an outdoor, historical district in Kansas City just blocks from the nonprofit, anchored by intriguing international food purveyors, a bustling farmers market and iconic views of the city skyline. The change in format and venue renewed sponsor and supporter interest, leading to record breaking pre-event and on-site fundraising. Attendees left full, fulfilled and eager to return in 2022.

Harvesters—The Community Food Network has long been a leader for food & wine events in Kansas City. But what do you do when gathering 2,000 guests to eat, drink and feed many doesn’t fit with the current health parameters? RO&Co worked with Harvesters to develop a full service, drive-in movie experience to satisfy sponsors and VIP guests, and a city-wide campaign to raise awareness for those unable to attend.
